Great stay with outstanding views

“Everything was perfect at this B and B. The breakfast was so good and was much better than the breakfast we had at Ashford Castle. Wonderful fresh breakfast!! The home was lovely and the views were amazing. Definitely stay here! We would stay again for longer time.”

What did you like about your stay in the property or location?
I have been lucky enough to stay in bed and breakfasts throughout Ireland for several years. I can say that definitively this is the best bed and breakfast in Ireland. There is no doubt in my mind that the Ben Bulben Farmhouse B&B is the best. You do not need to read the rest of this review. Just book this place now. First, the scenery here is unbelievable. You have, of course, magnificent views of Ben Bulben but you also have wonderful views of the Sligo countryside and the ocean. The rooms are spacious and just immaculate. Now, for the breakfast. I had the full Irish and it was amazing. If all this was not enough, Marita and Ian were amazing hosts. I am already planning a return trip.

Marita and Ian were so welcoming and knowledgeable about the area! Gave great recommendations of things to do, and places to eat, also the history of the area. Rooms were beautifully appointed and food was delicious!

The hosts were so friendly and the view is georgous. :) the rooms are very modern and clean. The breakfast is very good. We will come back.

We loved every minute of our stay. We loved the breakfast, the view, the walks, and our chats with Marita. We will return the next time we're in Ireland!

Marita and Ian were very hospitable and were felt comfortable in their lovely home by Benbulben. The home was immaculate inside and out. Delicious breakfast in a light filled room facing the beautiful mountain.

Le gîte est confortable, il est très bien situé, la vue est magnifique, le breakfast est très bon, et les hôtes sont attentionnés et de bon conseil. Que demander de plus?

Marita was such a good and welcoming host! She was attentive without being intrusive. Always open to requests. One of the best places we’ve ever stayed. I hope the opportunity arises to return to Sligo so we can stay there again.

Hosts were wonderful and went above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Located at the base of Benbulbin is stunning. Rural but short drive on classic country lanes for meals and Guinness 😁

Lovely big room with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious, much better than is served in most hotels. Hosts were very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely return.

The view is phenomenal, our room was very comfortable, the location to some excellent sites and hiking was very convenient and Marita is a fabulous host.

Great B&B in a beautiful setting. The accommodation was top class and the breakfast was the best we've had (I loved the fresh scones). The hosts were welcoming and very friendly and we had a great chat in the morning. Nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely stay here again. Thanks Marita and Ian.

What did you like about your stay in the property or location?
The room was very clean, modern, cozy and we had great views from our room and also the breakfast room. The bathroom was roomy and there were fluffy towels and enough amenities. The shared lounge area had huge windows with comfy couches. The weather was not nice some days but we didn't mind staying inside. There were many choices for breakfast and they were all tasty. We wished we could eat more. The location was super. So many sites and hiking trails are nearby. And the host Marita was very welcoming and friendly. We would love to come back!!

If we have to nit pick, it wold be nice to have options for herbal teas in the room, for example mint tea or camomile tea.
